Resurrecting Your Mind: Awaken the Sleeper
Have you been moving through life on autopilot, feeling disconnected from your true power? It’s time to wake up. Your mind is your greatest tool, but if left dormant, it becomes a cage instead of a key. Resurrecting your mind means breaking free from limiting beliefs, fear, and self-doubt. It’s about awakening the dormant potential within you and stepping into clarity, purpose, and action. The sleeper must awaken. Are you ready to reclaim your power and say YES to the life you were meant to live?
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration…”
~ Frank Herbert, Dune
Welcome to my mind. I’m Pam Heath, the YES Coach™. I train people to be a YES in life. Yes? Oh yeah. YES! I coach mindset, business, and prosperity. File that away—we’ll need it later.
Now, let’s talk about fear.
The quote above is from Dune, one of my all-time favorite books. If you know Dune, great—if not, don’t worry, I’ll catch you up. In the Duniverse, there’s a powerful mantra called the Litany Against Fear, created by the Bene Gesserit, a sisterhood trained in mental and physical mastery. They use it to stay calm in times of peril, and I think it’s a practice we could all use.
Fear: The Ultimate Mind Trap
Fear isn’t just an emotion—it’s a takeover. It grips you, controls you, dictates your actions. But let’s break it down.
Imagine you’re hiking in the woods. Suddenly, you stop. There’s a bear. A big, mean, Hollywood-style, man-eating bear. Your mind flashes through every movie you’ve seen about killer bears. Your body reacts: heart racing, adrenaline surging. The bear rears up and charges. What do you do? You run. Because that’s a situation where fear is completely justified.
But now, let’s shift gears. What about asking your boss for a raise? Calling that attractive stranger? Opening a bill? Facing the consequences of a lie? No bear, but still, fear grips you like one. Your mind goes into overdrive, creating worst-case scenarios. You freeze. You check out. You let fear run the show.
Here’s the truth: most of the time, fear is a story your mind tells you. And that story isn’t real.
Awaken the Sleeper
Fear can lull you into unconsciousness—not physically, but mentally. You check out, avoid, procrastinate. You get stuck. But here’s the game-changer: you don’t have to get rid of fear to take action.
Feel the fear—and do it anyway.
Ask yourself: What am I committed to? Then, act in alignment with that commitment. Don’t let fear dictate your choices. You run the show. Not your mind.
For me, the Litany Against Fear is simple: YES.
In the heat of the moment, when all seems lost, I say YES and move forward. That’s my awakening. That’s my resurrection.
And I invite you to do the same.
I’m Pam Heath, the YES Coach™. Say YES.
